Venue

Training scheduled at client's venue:

The training venue needs to be available half an hour before the start time to allow for setting up time for the trainer.  It is the customer's responsibility to provide the trainer with an adequate room and facilities.  The trainer has the right to refuse to train if these are not to their satisfaction.

For any equipment provided for use by the customer, an in date certificate that complies with relevant laws must be available to the trainer at the time of visit. The trainer reserves the right to refuse to train if this is not available or the equipment is deemed unsafe or inappropriate by the trainer.

The venue is responsible for informing candidates of any refreshment and lunch provisions prior to the session.

Candidates

All candidates should arrive for registration for training 15 minutes beforehand to ensure that the session starts promptly. If the candidate arrives late; the trainers reserves the right to refuse the candidate for the course if the trainers considers the candidate will receive insufficient knowledge or skills in the time remaining. In all such cases full charge will be applicable

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all candidates attend.  No allowances are made for 'no shows'.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that all candidates who attend are free from any conditions that would affect their capability to take part in practical subjects.  A disclaimer to be signed prior to commencement of training to this effect. Their manager will be made aware of any candidates that state they are unable to participate.

If the trainer has reasonable belief that a candidate lacks capacity to safely and adequately carry out activities pertinent to the course, he/she has the right to refuse that candidate's participation in part or all of the course, in order to preserve a positive inclusinve learning environment.

All Candidates are required to have adequate literacy skills to enable them to have a positive learning experience from the course, and certificates of attendance will only be issued at the discretion of the trainer if they are satisfied that this condition has been met.

Sessions

Training scheduled at clients venue:

Group session bookings are for up to 12 candidates (unless previously stipulated) – extra candidates who attend will be charged at the per person rate.

Handouts & resources

Electronic handouts and resources are FREE for customers of Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd and can be found on your user account, which you may then print as required.  

Bookings, Cancellations and Transfer terms

Bookings over £1000.00 excluding VAT, a 50% advance deposit is required.

In the event of a booking being cancelled by the customer fourteen days or less, before the first day of the course: full charge will be due. Cancellation between the fifteenth and twenty-eighth day before the first day of the course: 50% of the agreed course fee will be charged.

Should a candidate booked on an open course request to attend an alternative date the following charge will apply; notice of seven days or less is full charge.

For private scheduled courses; no transfers can be made. Please refer to cancellation terms and rebook as required.

Certificates

Certificates of attendance will only be issued to those candidates completing the whole of the course or series of courses. Certificates will not be issued until payment has been received for the training.  Electronic certificates of attendance are FREE and can be found on your user account, which you may then print as required. If you require us to produce the certificate and send in the post, please select this option at the checkout.

Certificates of Attendance - are provided to show a candidate has attended the named course and to provide information of content covered during the session. It does not necessarily reflect the knowledge of the candidate. Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd cannot be held responsible for and acts, omissions or decisions made by candidates.

Certificate Validity - This is the length of time Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd recommends that the course should be refreshed, unless stated otherwise.

Inclement weather and unforseen circumstances

Training scheduled at clients venue:

In the case of extreme weather conditions or unforseen circumstanaces that may prevent the trainer reaching the venue, Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd will contact the training venue.  If either the candidates or the trainer are unable to travel and the training is cancelled, then the cost of the training sessions will be jointly borne equally by both the client and Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd.

Mileage For training delivered at a customer's venue, mileage charges are calculated from the distance from Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd in Chesham to the customers venue using the scale below.

A - within a 5 mile radius - Free
B - within a 10 Mile radius - £10.00 fixed charge
C - within a 15 mile radius - £15.00 fixed charge
D - Outside of a 15 mile radius - charged at 0.45 pence mile - return journey

Payment Terms

Payment terms strictly 7 days in advance of session date / service delivery date.

Failure to arrange payment within these terms may result in non delivery of session or candidates refused entry to the training session.

Late Payments

As per the Commercial Debts Act of 1998 'statutory interest' will be charged at 8% plus the current bank of England Interest rate from the date that the invoice was due to be paid.

A debt recovery fee will also be applied to the invoice.

For debts up to £999.99 a £40.00 charge will be applied

For debts of £1000.00 and above a £70.00 charge will be applied

 

Payments made by Credit and Debit Card are subject to a 2.5% charge

Safeguarding Policy

Total Training Solutions & Consultancy Ltd takes great pride in providing an environment for learners to feel comfortable to discuss and raise any poor practices. The Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults policy is discussed at the beginning of each training course regardless of what subject is being delivered, and learners are encouraged to recap on what their in- house policy says on the reporting of abuse.

When trainers are sufficiently concerned about a learner's disclosure or raised issue, or where they have a reason to believe that a learner is not going to raise an alert themselves despite advice, they themselves can make a referral to either the Safeguarding or DoLS team. The appropriate action will be considered by the trainer dependent on the circumstances. Trainers are not responsible for discussing any of these issues or disclosures with the manager or employer of the setting where the training took place.

The personal data that we collect includes your name, organisation, billing address, service delivery address, email address and telephone number.

Your personal data may be used to manage your account including providing invoices and training certificates. We may use your email to inform you about relevant training and services. Also for general correspondence relating to services you have purchased. 

Marketing

In the event that you register as a customer we may use your email address to send you information about relevant training and services.

You can also amend the contact preferences in your account page or inform us by phone or email to stop us from contacting you for this purpose.

Data Storage, Sharing and Transfers

Your personal data is stored on our servers which are in the European Economic Area. 

We do not share your personal data with third parties. However, in the case of a suspected abuse, Total Training Solutions and Consultancy LTD reserves the right to share necessary information with the appropriate Safeguarding team managed by local authority. In such a situation every reasonable effort will be made to inform the person making the disclosure that it must be shared.

Access to your information and correction

We want to make sure that your information is accurate and up-to-date and will delete or amend any information that you think is inaccurate. Should you wish to delete your account please contact us by email or phone. Amendments to your account can be made online by signing in to your account or by contacting us.

You have the right to close your account at any time and have us delete all of your personal information unless there is a lawful basis why this cannot happen.
